Driss

Director of Management and Finance , Morocco

Driss (37) is a father of two and a Finance graduate from HEM business school in Casa. He later went on to obtain a master degree (DESS) in Internal Auditing and Financial Control in Bordeaux, France. In 1998, he joined L’Oréal Morocco as Junior Financial Controller and was promoted to Financial Controller two years later.

In 2003, he began working as Corporate Financial Controller responsible for three Divisions.
Five years later, he was given the job of Director of Management and Finance for the subsidiary, taking on responsibility for Financial Control, Accounting and Sales Administration.
Driss heads a team of 12 people.

I manage a multi-faceted setup spanning forecasting, consulting, control and decision-making. This means:

  • ensuring compliance with L’Oréal’s financial-management standards

  • implementing the relevant tools and procedures

  • designing and overseeing budget processes

  • drawing up budgets and plans, and analysing trends

  • always being on hand to provide advice and steer operations in the right direction

  • providing management charts to help Divisions and Senior Management target their strategies

  • promoting the right fit between where we want to go and how we intend to get there.

  • optimizing resources

  • analyzing any discrepancies and recommending corrective measures

  • managing the Accounting and Collection Department

  • supervising the Sales Administration Department

  • providing financial management and accounting reports.
