SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT : TOP MARKS FOR L'ORÉAL
L'Oréal has a place in all the sustainable development indices including companies listed in Europe.
ASPI Eurozone, DJSI and DJSI Stoxx, FTSE4Good Global 100, FTSE4Good Europe and Europe 50. These six international indices list the most efficient companies in terms of "sustainable development". In other words companies that are fully aware, and respectful of their social and environmental responsibilities …. in the various aspects of their activity. Observed, rated and classified, the companies listed in the ASPI, DJSI and FTSE indices are scrutinized by credit rating agencies, using a wide variety of criteria covering the economic and social aspects, as well as the environmental and societal: from energy-saving objectives through to employee training, relations with suppliers and the existence of humanitarian action. These indices notably contribute, to the choices made in terms of "ethical funds" which are currently of increasing importance.
L’Oréal Listed on Every European Index
Listed on each of these indices, the L'Oréal Group thus enters a highly selective corporate world. This serves as recognition for its daily commitment, founded upon strong directional axes: a highly pro-active approach to environmental safety (use of biodegradable materials, recycling, etc.), emphasis on the social and human dimensions of the company, not only in-house but also regarding its partners, high demands concerning corporate management, ever-progressive research on the safety and innocuity of the product itself.
