TWO L'OREAL BRANDS WIN MARIE CLAIRE PRIX D'EXCELLENCE 2009 BEAUTY AWARDS

L’Oréal received two of the nine Prix d’Excellence 2009 beauty awards from the international women’s magazine Marie Claire, announced on 8th January 2009.

The first international award received by L’Oréal was for L'Absolu Rouge lipstick by Lancôme, selected by beauty journalists worldwide for its innovative and highly effective Pro-XylaneTM-enriched formula, voluptuous colours, high-tech case and red-hot advertising campaign.

The second Marie Claire Prix d'Excellence 2009 award won by the Group was for Face Fabric by Giorgio Armani. This was the second time that the Marie-Claire international jury had singled out Giorgio Armani, the first having been in 2000 for the design of its make-up line. This latest award recognises Armani’s expertise and know-how in “cosmetic textiles”. With the help of Giorgio Armani himself, local and international teams, laboratories and technical personnel, the brand has come up with a second-skin nude make-up to enhance women’s natural beauty.

The Prix d’Excellence beauty awards, created in 1985 and relayed round the world through the 22 local editions of Marie Claire, have over the years become the absolute reference in the beauty world.
