Creation of a Diversity Chair

L’Oréal pursues its commitment to promoting diversity and equal opportunities by supporting the creation of a “Diversity and Performance” Chair at the ESSEC Business School, in partnership with Air France-KLM and Deloitte.

The chair will support the education of future managers aware of the importance of diversity. Research conducted under the program will focus on three topics in particular: disability, the link between performance and diversity and multiculturalism.

The chair is another example of the active policy to promote diversity deployed by L'Oréal for many years now. Overseen by Jean-Claude Le Grand, Diversity Director, the company’s diversity policy includes numerous initiatives in the area of recruitment, training and education, as well as support for many associations active in encouraging diversity.

“Diversity is part of L'Oréal’s DNA. With locations all over the globe and employees representing a wealth of different nationalities, cultures and ethnic origins, L’Oréal is on the cutting edge of diversity promotion and aims to be a model of diversity. We are proud to support the creation of a “Diversity and Performance” Chair at ESSEC, an initiative that stresses how important we consider the issue to be for today’s society.” commented Jean-Paul Agon, L'Oréal Chief Executive Officer.
