Grants and sponsorships
Several grants (almost 100 000 euros uniquely at Corporate level) are awarded every year in order to allow deserving students particularly those with underprivileged social backgrounds to continue their studies. Some examples:
France:
• Talent Promotion which supports deserving students from underprivileged social backgrounds. This accompaniment is given via study grants and tutoring given by managers.
• ESSEC Japan grant to enable Japanese students to study in France for a period of 2 years.
Latin America:
• Grants for students from Latin America wishing to continue their studies in France, at Sciences Po Paris.
• Study grants awarded to 30 students (African descendants or from disadvantaged communities) from the Brazilian University UERJ (State University of Rio de Janeiro), of a total equivalent to a minimum salary on the national scale.
• CEMS grant (Community of European Management and International Companies) given to students from universities in Mexico and Brazil wanting to study in Europe and gain a double Masters in international management.
USA:
• SoftsheenCarson scolarship which since 2002 helps young african-americans continue their higher education (notably in partner “Historic Black Universities”). The grant can rise to a level of 10 500 dollars, over three years.
