Our commitments
L’Oréal Headquarters receives the Diversity Label
In May 2010, L’Oréal received the Diversity Label in France. Given by the Minister of Immigration, Integration, National Identity and Inclusive Development, the label recognizes L’Oréal’s commitment towards promoting equal opportunities, diversity and non discrimination.
To obtain the Label, L’Oréal completed a process that consisted in analyzing its diversities and its anti-discrimination policies. After evaluating its activities, and the Human Resources management, the permanent commission of labeling, associated with the French Government, trade unions and the ANDRH (National Association of Human Resources Directors), certified by an independent external agency, awarded L’Oréal headquarters with the Diversity Label.
After signing the Diversity Charter in 2004, winning the Label reflects our continuous efforts to constantly improve our policies towards equal opportunity and promoting diversity in the work place.
L’Oréal’s ethics programme is proactive and supports the Group’s growth. In 2000, L’Oréal was one of the first companies in France to establish a Code of Business Ethics. While ethics is considered the responsibility of all employees, the Group appointed a Director of Ethics in 2007 to reinforce the promotion and integration of ethical practices among the businesses. In 2008, L’Oréal CEO Jean-Paul Agon received the prestigious Stanley C. Pace Leadership in Ethics Award.
