The 2010 international fellows at the Pasteur Institute

On February 28th and March 1st 2010, the L'Oréal Corporate Foundation, UNESCO and the Pasteur Institute have organized two days of training and seminars for 23 young women, all of them researchers in the life sciences who have been the recipients of UNESCO-L'Oréal Fellowships For Women in Science. The program, which will take place on the campus of the Pasteur Institute, includes encounters with scientists from Pasteur, seminars on protecting intellectual property, on how to find research financing and on new opportunities that the Web 2.0 offers in developing a scientific career.

Every year since 2000, 15 international fellowships have been granted by UNESCO and the L'Oréal Foundation to young women researchers, at doctoral or post-doctoral level, whose projects have been accepted by recognized research institutions outside their home country. The Fellowships give a boost to promising research and help the beneficiaries to build networks in the international community and acquire experience that they can later share when they return home.
