Clichy Insertion

The Maison de l’Emploi et du Développement Economique de Clichy, located near the L’Oréal Headquarters in Clichy, groups together several employers in Clichy. Initiated in 2007, the socio-aesthetics workshop entitled "Prendre soin de soi" (take care of yourself), proposed and financed by the L’Oréal Foundation, has become a valuable step in the assistance circuit for job seekers.

The workshops take place once a month over four half-days, and cover different themes (social image, facial care, body care and make-up). From 30 December 2008 to 15 December 2009, 11 sessions took place; i.e. 44 half-days. Out of the 87 persons signed up, 56 actually attended, an attendance rate of 64%. The loss of job seekers during the course emphasised the difficulty experienced by some of them in looking ahead to the future, planning their appointments and keeping to them: an aspect on which it is useful to make them work in a different context.
