Created in 2009 by Jacques-Etienne de T’Serclaes and based on a British model, the Agence du Don en Nature is designed to fight social exclusion and poverty through product donations (apart from food products).

Companies’ unsold products are collected and redistributed to associations for a symbolic contribution. This approach makes it possible, through a useful donation, to prevent the destruction of products while ensuring proper traceability and avoiding the grey market.

The L'Oréal Foundation is a partner and founder of the Agence du Don en Nature and supports it both financially and through the donation of cosmetic products. In 2009 over 90,000 products from several brands of the L'Oréal Group were distributed to associations such as SOS Villages d’Enfants, the Salvation Army, Make a Wish and the Restaurants du Cœur.
