Kids should be Kids
We strongly believe that kids should be kids, and that children have absolutely no need to use anti-ageing skincare products. In fact, the only beauty products that children should use are those designed to provide basic hygiene, personal care, and sun protection benefits; in addition to managing any skin conditions, including eczema and acne, when required.
That’s why the only products we sell aimed at children are age-appropriate, family-friendly and have been designed to meet the specific needs of younger skin (such as cleansing, conditioning, moisturizing, sun protection and helping to manage skin conditions like eczema and acne). We also ensure that any products aimed at children have a formula that is suitable for use on younger skin.
In addition, at L’Oréal we do not intentionally promote or target any of our advertising to children under 16 years of age in any of our advertising channels, including TV, digital and social media, gaming and events. We have a ‘Responsible Advertising & Marketing Communications Policy’ at a Group level that reinforces this position, which has been shared with all our brands and agency partners. Consistent with this policy, we do not partner with influencers under the legal age to sign a contract, or 16 years old if that legal age is younger.
