L’Oréal Wins 3 Awards at Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté

L’Oréal received three of the 2008 "Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté" awards from the magazine Marie Claire.

The first of two international awards received by L'Oréal recognize the new generation of Demaq'Expert cleansers from L'Oréal Paris. Available in milk, tonic, foaming gel or wipe form, this revolutionary range appealed to the jury: "Restoring cleansers to the forefront of beauty routines is a welcome initiative, all the more so as the range offers something for all needs and tastes with equal success," or: "Magical formulas transformed by contact with water or fingers and ambient perfumes which put the passion back into cleansing." The new top-end Shu Uemura Art of Hair range was also honored with an International Award. The jury, comprising 16 beauty journalists, voted for this new brand created in 2007, whose care and styling range offers absolute luxury. The jury was particularly impressed with the exquisite hair ceremony, offered exclusively in the world's most famous salons and inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony: "What a great idea it was to transpose the tea ceremony to hair, usually unaccustomed to witnessing so much love and attention! With Shu Uemura Art of Hair, the most basic shampooing becomes an unparalleled experience, and the treatment that follows is nothing short of ecstasy!" The French Jury Prize was awarded to Mixa's Face and Body ranges The lush remodeling cream, an anti-cellulite spray based on combating sponginess through calcium, cleansers and facial products, won over the jury: "These are our "pet" care products which have been with us throughout our lives, without stretching the budget. We look upon them with care and affection... and even more so this year, with their new focus on slimness, featuring two winning formulas whose textures are rich enough to make the rest of the market blush." Created in 1985 and reported around the world by 22 local editions of Marie Claire , the Prix d'Excellence de la Beauté have over the years become an absolute standard-setter in the field of beauty.
