At L'Oréal Canada, if there is one day that perfectly embodies our Sense of Purpose of Creating beauty that moves the world, it is Citizen Day.
For 15 years, during this solidarity volunteering day, we have offered our employees ways to act and make concrete contributions, because every gesture counts in view of current social and environmental needs.
This year, 600 employees driven by the same desire to make a difference devoted their working time to contributing their skills and energy through 32 volunteer activities which benefited more than 58 social and environmental associations.
They carefully prepared bouquets of flowers to brighten the daily lives of isolated elderly people, food baskets filled with hope for families in need, baby kits welcomed as treasures by young mothers-to-be...
An extraordinary human chain has been put in place, weaving strong links between L'Oréal Canada employees and their community, as demonstrated in this video and soon, there will be more than 100 colleagues from our Toronto office who will in turn take part in inspiring initiatives.
Whether by walking miles for the Les Petits Rois Foundation, which provides support to young people with disabilities, or by participating in training for Look Good Feel Better, which helps people with cancer feel like themselves again, or by carefully preparing hygiene kits for women in need, every gesture counts.
