On the 8 th of september we celebrate Worldwide Literacy day as an opportunity to highlight the importance of literacy as a lever for social inclusion. Among our brands, Lancôme is committed since 2018 to fight against women’s illiteracy around the world thanks to its philanthropic program Write Her Future.
In partnership with the NGO CARE, three programs have been launched initially (Morocco, Guatemala and Thailand). And because illiteracy is a global issue, the brand pursues its commitment by launching in other countries with the support of local NGO’s. To date, the Write her Future program has helped more than 23 000 beneficiaries across 13 countries, on every single continent. In 2020, Lancôme continues its battle for women’s self-fulfillment and economical independence by expanding the program to mentorship and entrepreneurship.
