A harvest of awards for financial communication

L’Oréal’s financial communication recognized by L’Agefi and Boursorama awards.

L’Oréal won first prize for “Board Selection” in financial newspaper AGEFI’s 2006 corporate governance contest. There is no doubt that the Group meets the prize’s requirements to perfection: “presence of independent members on the board of directors and specialised committees, the absence of any relation of subordination or financial connection, and a balanced and complementary board structure.” Thanks to its press releases, annual reports, the www.loreal-finance.com financial website and the shareholders’ newsletters, which form a coherent whole, the Group has also been rewarded for its efforts in providing financial communication for its shareholders with the “Information and Communication Quality and Transparency” prize.

In addition, www.loreal-finance.com won 2nd place in the Grand Prix BoursoScan® 2006 competition, organised by Boursorama and the TLB consultancy. Over 3,000 websurfer-shareholders took part in assessing the 96 competing sites. The main criteria used were up-to-date, comprehensive and comprehensible information and ease of navigation. Objectiveness, coherent strategy, and the identification of the issuer were also extremely important factors.

Lastly, with the same concern for quality shareholder relations, L’Oréal’s shareholders General Meeting was voted “Best AGM of the Year” by a jury of investors selected by corporate and financial communication agency Capcom. The award is given for the legibility and quality of shareholder information (results, financial and debt strategy, core businesses, corporate governance, directors’ pay, risk management, etc.), the quality of debate and the organisation of the General Assembly per se.
