Until the end of July, Aéroports de Paris is hosting an exhibition devoted to the winners of the 2014 L’Oréal-UNESCO Award.

Since March 14th, 2014, passengers from across the globe arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports are greeted by an exhibition of photographs of the five L’Oréal-UNESCO award-winners by American artist and world-famous portrait photographer Julian Dufort. To gain an insight into their professional and private lives, Dufort immersed himself in their day-to-day routines, offering us a snapshot of their experiences and revealing the women behind the scientists. Julian Dufort travelled to New York City (USA), Strasbourg (France), Bahia Blanca (Argentina), Kyoto (Japan) and Nairobi (Kenya) to meet these women whose major discoveries have revolutionised their fields of research.

Every year for the last nine years, Aéroports de Paris, in partnership with the L’Oréal Foundation, has put the spotlight on a cause that’s relevant to us all. Once again this year, Aéroports de Paris has provided the UNESCO-L'ORÉAL For Women in Science programme with prime spots in its airports to draw the public’s attention to these outstanding women who are helping to shape a modern scientific community that’s truly open to the world.

The photographs are on display from March 14th to April 23rd, and then from June 3rd to July 10th, 2014.
