A Canadian Center of Excellence
L’Oréal’s strategic presence in Canada has allowed us to harness the nation’s innovative spirit. A great example is our partnership and recent acquisition of Modiface, a global leader in Augmented Reality and Artificial intelligence solutions for the beauty industry.
Headquartered in Toronto, this Canadian-based team of engineers, researchers, and scientists has been a key driver of the Group’s worldwide digital transformation.
Their ground-breaking work has enabled many of our brands to offer cutting-edge virtual try-on services and personalized diagnostic tools, such as La Roche-Posay's Effaclar SpotScan and L’Oréal Paris Skin Genius – both in Canada and in markets around the world.
This has strengthened our ability to develop and provide unique and customized beauty experiences worldwide, while adhering to strict ethical data practices.

Innovation for a Sustainable & Inclusive Future
L'Oréal Canada is committed to inclusive products and services, responsible innovation and sustainable practices. We strive to minimize our environmental footprint while developing technologies that enhance lives and contribute to a more sustainable future for Canada.
We use 100% renewable energy across our main sites.
L’Oréal Canada is the first and only beauty company in Canada to have signed the Net-Zero Challenge from the Government of Canada, committing to pushing its decarbonization goals further by mobilizing its entire ecosystem and working with its partners to optimize its entire value chain, including transportation and advertising.
The data collected by L'Oréal is used in the Asterès Impact Model (MIA), which evaluates the total economic footprint generated by L'Oréal in Canada in 2023. The model utilizes data from the OECD 'input-output' tables. For 2023 expenditures, the model quantifies the total economic effects of L'Oréal over a year.
