L’Oréal Groupe reaches 100% renewable energy across operated sites and stores

A major milestone for our climate journey

Through our L'Oréal for the Future sustainability program, we set a clear and ambitious goal: to reach 100% renewable energy for all our operated sites and stores by 2030. By accelerating our efforts and transforming our footprint, we have fulfilled this objective. As of the end of 2025, L'Oréal has reached 100% renewable energy for all its operated sites – plants, research and innovation centers, distribution centers, administrative offices – and stores worldwide where we hold an electricity subscription.

This achievement is built on a rigorous three-step logic: use less, use better, and transition. We prioritize energy conservation by reducing consumption at the source, such as optimizing lighting and adjusting temperatures. Next, we invest in energy efficiency technologies to maximize every unit we use. Finally, we meet our remaining needs through renewable sources, focusing on on-site production, long-term partnerships that fund new renewable projects, complemented by high-quality certificates to guarantee traceability.
