Refugees Inclusion Award
More Information HereOn June 30, 2026, during an official ceremony in Paris, presided by Marie-Pierre Vedrenne, French Minister Delegate for Citizenship, Margaret Johnston-Clarke, L'Oréal Groupe's Global Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, was awarded, on behalf of the Groupe, the grand prize of the first national award Entreprises avec les réfugiés (Companies with Refugees).
This award was launched by a coalition of French public institutions and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to highlight companies highly committed to the professional integration of refugees.
In awarding L'Oréal Groupe the grand prize, the jury recognised the Groupe's comprehensive inclusion policy and its ability to federate a broad ecosystem of partners to effectively remove barriers to the recruitment of refugees and facilitate their workplace integration.
L'Oréal Groupe's global strategy for refugee integration rests on three pillars:
- Direct employment and mentoring
- Professional training and sponsorship
- Inclusive Sourcing

Direct employment and mentoring
In 2019, L'Oréal Groupe joined the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a global network of more than 500 major multinational companies worldwide that supports refugees and helps them integrate into their new communities. The focus is on connecting refugees to job opportunities through hiring, training and mentorships.
During dedicated forums with Tent Partnership for Refugees, L’Oréal Groupe talent acquisition teams offer CV-free sourcing, in favor of direct human contact to understand life paths, explain recruitment processes and present existing opportunities.
L’Oréal Groupe organises mentoring for female refugees and volunteer Groupe employees in partnership with Tent Partnership for Refugees in Europe.
In France, L’Oréal Groupe is also involved in the Work with refugees collective, founded in 2021 on Kodiko’s initiative, which today brings together 7 non-profit organisations committed to professional inclusion.
In June 2022, L'Oréal Groupe signed the Charter on the inclusion of Refugees and Exiled people in the Workplace promoted by the NGO Singa Global.
Professional training and sponsorship
L’Oréal Groupe supports long-term employability of refugees through targeted training programmes.
The L’Oréal Fondation created the Beauty for a Better Life programme, a free dedicated training for women refugees to boost their employability in the beauty industry. As at end 2025, 972 women refugees had been trained in Spain, Lebanon, Netherlands and Kenya, and 681 of them had been certified.
The L’Oréal Fund for Women also supports local and international NGOs, notably the Red Cross and Médecins du Monde, as well as United Nations organisations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and UNICEF. Through these organisations, the L’Oréal Fund for Women provided support to more than 8,000,000 displaced women and girls in 2024.
L’Oréal Groupe developed an academic partnership of excellence with Sciences Po, supporting 70 refugees since 2023 through the Sciences Po Professional Certificate for Young Refugees. This two-year programme, led by L’Oréal France Talent Acquisition team aims at introducing refugee students to a professional environment.
Inclusive Sourcing
L’Oréal Groupe’s global Inclusive Sourcing programme, launched in 2010, extends L’Oréal Groupe’s commitment to the professional integration of refugees across its entire value chain.
In 2025, the programme indirectly supported the employment of 238 refugees across several countries, including Poland, Germany and Ukraine. This represents a substantial increase compared to previous years, as there were 29 beneficiaries in 2020.
