L’Oréal USA Receives 100 Score from Human Rights Campaign Foundation and is Designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality."

 

L'Oréal USA has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for its commitment tequality and inclusion. For the fourth consecutive year, the American subsidiary of the global beauty leader been awarded with a 100 score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, earning it the designation of a "Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality."

Steps L’Oréal USA has taken to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment for its employee community include:

 

  • Launching employee-driven Think Tanks focused on various dimensions of workforce diversity, including OUT@L'Oréal, which advances initiatives that protect LGBTQ rights, the Women of Color Think Tank, DiversABILITY, and L’Oréal Veterans. In 2020, to avoid disruption of the community, these Think Tanks moved to a virtual presence. 

  • Partnering with the Ali Forney Center, an organization dedicated to protecting LGBTQ youth from the harms of homelessness.

  • Following the United Nation Human Rights Office's standards of conduct for business, designed to combat discrimination against the LGBTQ community.

 

L’Oréal USA also earned a spot on Forbes’ 2020 list of Best Employers for Diversity in America. On the global level, L’Oréal has recently been included, for the fourth consecutive year, on the 2021 Bloomberg Equality Index, which tracks the performance of public companies committed to disclosing their efforts to support gender equality through policy development, representation and transparency.
