Skinbetter science was formed in 2016 to establish a new biotech-based paradigm in skincare. Our innovative approach is built on three pillars: a technology pipeline of scientific innovation across multiple skincare categories, rigorous clinical substantiation of the safety and efficacy of the products developed from these novel technologies, and a partnership with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals in the aesthetic medical community to deliver best-in-class skincare solutions to their patients.
Prior to establishing skinbetter science, our Founders developed and honed this biotech-based aesthetic philosophy throughout decades of experience founding and building Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation from 1998-2012 into one of the leading specialty pharmaceutical companies in the world in both medical dermatology and aesthetic medicine – with signature accomplishments including the launch in the US and Canada of multiple iconic drugs, devices, and biologics such as Restylane®, Dysport®, and Solodyn®.
