L'Oréal India Management

Vishal Sharma is the Head of Research & Innovation (R&I) for the South Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa (SAPMENA) region at L’Oréal, based out of India.

His role encompasses overseeing advanced research, open development and innovation, and beauty formulations within the SAPMENA region. He spearheads the company's efforts in creating scalable innovations, enhancing delivery quality, and fast-tracking technology implementation in various markets of the region.

He joined L’Oréal India's Research & Innovation team in 2012 as a Consumer Market Insights (CMI) Manager and has since held various leadership positions within the Group, collaborating closely with L’Oréal labs globally. In 2014, he assumed the role of head of the Indonesia R&I satellite and went on to establish the R&I-Technology Incubator in Japan in 2016.

In 2019, Vishal was appointed as the leader of Asia Augmented Beauty (AB) in China. The following year, he took on dual roles as South Korea's R&I Director and North Asia Open Development Director.

Before joining L’Oréal, Vishal held strategy planning roles at Publicis Worldwide and J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in India. He holds a degree in Applied Electronics from Delhi University.
