L’Oréal recognized in the Disability Index 2025
L’Oréal Groupe is recognized for its long-term commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in 7 countries in 2025 in the Disability Index®, a leading benchmark developed by Disability:IN.
The index is an independent, third-party tool used for annually benchmarking disability inclusion policies and programs within businesses. Companies in Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, the Philippines, the United States, and the United Kingdom are eligible to participate and receive scored benchmarks. In 2026, the index will become global, open to all countries.
For 2025, the index assessed several key areas, including Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices (covering Benefits, Recruitment, Employment, Education, Retention & Advancement, and Accommodations), Community Engagement, Supplier Inclusion, and Responsible Procurement.
This year, L’Oréal Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States have been recognized as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” on the 2025 Disability Index, recognizing our commitment to advancing disability inclusion and building a workplace where all employees can contribute and drive long-term success.
Disability inclusion is crucial to fostering a truly inclusive work environment. An estimated 1.3 billion people globally live with some form of disability, representing 16% of the world’s population . 80% of disabilities are acquired between the ages of 18 and 64 – the workforce age . Disability crosses all demographics – including age, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic and multicultural origins.
For 20 years, L'Oréal has been committed to the physical, mental, and social well-being of its employees, consumers, and communities. Specifically, L'Oréal is accelerating disability inclusion, addressing both visible and invisible disabilities, mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiversity. The Group aims to achieve a minimum direct employment target for people with disabilities in all operating countries, creating internal and external impact by breaking stigmas and fostering accessibility for all stakeholders.
Participating in The Disability Index across several countries reinforces L’Oréal’s strategic commitment to promote inclusive workplaces within the Group, providing a benchmark to track progress over time and set concrete, measurable goals for the future.
