DE&I, driven by L’Oréal employees

DE&I fuels the creativity that helps us create the beauty that moves the world. We want to nurture an environment where all our employees can thrive and grow and also feel empowered to launch outstanding and inspiring projects that are worthy of recognition and that will, in their turn, promote diversity, equity and inclusion inside and outside the Group.

Our first-ever Beauty of Inclusion Awards competition in 2022 was the occasion to celebrate these initiatives, including:

  • Assisting visually impaired people to access information (L’Oréal France)
  • Supporting people with disabilities in finding a job (L’Oréal China)
  • Developing multicultural diversity in our leadership (L’Oréal Brazil)

  • Helping disadvantaged people by rebuilding their self-confidence (L’Oréal Greece)

A strong commitment to diversity

For 20 years, L’Oréal has been formally committed to upholding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – especially with regard to disability, gender and LGBTQIA+, age, and socio-economic & multicultural origins – and to fighting against all forms of discrimination. Differences are a source of strength. Supporting difference means creating excellence.

L’Oréal applies and promotes the core values in its Purpose — Diversity, Equity & Inclusion — wherever it operates, and always in compliance with local legislation. To reinforce this commitment, the Group set up our DE&I Global Advisory Board in January 2021, comprising 12 outside experts and six L’Oréal senior executives including our CEO. L’Oréal’s engagement on these topics was recognized on multiple occasions in 2021, including when the Group was featured in the Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Top 100 for the 6th consecutive year and listed fourth in the Equileap Global Gender Equality ranking.
