L’Oréal today announces that it will share its vision for the Future of Beauty at Viva Technology (Viva Tech) 2022, the largest European technology industry conference and exhibition, taking place15-18 June in Paris. Clichy, 23 May 2022 – The L’Oréal group, the world’s leading beauty player, announces today the launch of the L’Oréal BOLD FEMALE FOUNDERS initiative designed to support female-led startups. It will be developed by its venture capital fund, BOLD Business Opportunities for L’Oréal Development, through a dedicated 50 million euros investment.

UVMune 400 is L’Oréal first sun filtering technology, its biggest suncare innovation in 30 years to effectively protect the skin against ultra-long UVA rays, the 30% of solar rays that have so far been insufficiently filtered. With this major scientific breakthrough, L'Oréal helps preventing sun-induced deep skin damages, which is a major public health issue. UVMune 400 is now available in La Roche-Posay Anthelios franchise, the first brand of the Group to use this powerful technology.

L’Oréal’s corporate venture capital fund BOLD (Business Opportunities for L’Oréal Development) announces a minority investment in Japanese beauty startup SPARTY, Inc. This investment in SPARTY marks the first venture capital investment by L’Oréal in Japan.
