It is in this spirit that L'Oréal Canada is very proud to share a concrete and symbolic achievement: the recent inauguration of its very first urban pollinator garden, right in the heart of the vibrant Montreal metropolis, Place Ville Marie.

This sanctuary is a direct response to the major challenges faced by our precious pollinators – these species, including bees and butterflies, are essential for the survival of over 75% of global crops and thus for our own future.

By offering these discreet heroes a peaceful haven in an urban environment, L'Oréal Canada is not just protecting them. The company actively contributes to the greening of urban areas and the resilience of the local environment, within a 10 km radius around our facilities. This is a striking example of how urban biodiversity can be revitalized, with a vital buzz and a colorful ballet now part of the daily life of this emblematic location.

As Maya Colombani, Head of Sustainable Development and Human Rights for L'Oréal Canada, so aptly emphasized, this initiative is a perfect embodiment of our strategy: "This garden is a tremendous example of how our 'L'Oréal for the Future' strategy is concretely implemented, complementing our reforestation efforts and our partnerships with indigenous communities, while acting right here, at home."
