Supporting Female Entrepreneurs in USA

L’Oréal is determined to live up to its commitment to female entrepreneurship around the world. Today, women-owned businesses earn less than 1% of the money spent on vendors by large corporations and governments.

L'Oréal USA sub-contracts production of goods and services to female-owned enterprises certified suppliers via WBENC( the Women's Business Entreprise National Council). It validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women.

Through this project, we have collaborated with 136 beneficiaries in support of female entrepreneurship, working on point-of-sale productions, packaging and digital marketing.

This project is now duplicated internationally, supporting women-owned suppliers all over the world through L'Oréal Corporate membership to WEConnect International. In 2022, there are 4,552 beneficiaries in women-owned businesses in 27 countries all over the world. We multiplied by 7 the number of employees working for those “diverse suppliers” compared to 2020.
