L’ORÉAL AND HISTOVERY PUT NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT EXPO 2020 DUBAI

L’Oréal has exclusively sponsored the “Notre-Dame de Paris, the Experience” at Expo 2020 Dubai, an augmented exhibition that shares a virtual immersion into the history of the cathedral produced by the French start-up, Histovery. 

Opened throughout October and until November 1st, 2021 in the France Pavilion, visitors were equipped with tablets upon their arrival and through HistoPad augmented reality technology developed by Histovery, they went back in time to see the cathedral being built in the Middle Ages, witnessed the coronation of Emperor Napoleon I, saw the Viollet-le-Duc spire being erected and looked at the operation designed to safeguard the structure since the fire, prior to the start of the reconstruction.

As a donor for the rebuilding of the cathedral in France and the official beauty products and services partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, L’Oréal was keen to share the exhibition to plunge visitors from all over the world into the history of Notre-Dame de Paris, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The presentation prefigures the augmented exhibition “Notre-Dame de Paris” scheduled to take place in Paris in Spring 2022.
