In 2019, the Yves Saint Laurent brand launched a new range of specially targeted skincare, the Pure Shots serums. In keeping with the brand’s DNA, this elegant product, designed to be refilled, is presented in the form of a compact and practical bottle, into which slides a cartridge of serum.
In order to reduce its environmental impact, the cartridges of all four types of serum can be inserted into the same transparent bottle.
This eco-design enables a significant water saving and a carbon footprint reduction, compared to producing a non-refillable bottle.
The impact is halved if customers use an entire product and three refills, instead of four whole products, with a 52% reduction in total packaging weight.
