For Garnier, removing these barriers is key to promoting more sustainable lifestyles and consumption approaches. The brand has made this a focus area of its 2022 “One Green Step” campaign.
“One Green Step” is based on a video in which consumers show off their everyday sustainable choices.
The objective is twofold: to inspire other consumers to follow suit but also to encourage them to share the video on social media and create a snowball effect.
Each time the video is shared, Garnier pledges to pay for the collection and recycling of five plastic bottles (or the equivalent weight in plastic) in partnership with the NGO, “Plastics For Change”. If someone creates a social media post about something they personally have done for the planet, Garnier and “Plastics For Change” promise to collect and recycle ten plastic bottles. The goal is to recycle two million bottles.
