L'Oréal Australia Midsumma Festival 2023

Midsumma Festival is Australia's premier queer arts and cultural organisation, bringing together a diverse mix of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, communities, and audiences. The iconic Midsumma Carnival never disappoints, and this year’s celebration felt bigger and better than ever. The L’Oréal Groupe Marquee was a huge success, and more importantly, it showcased our commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and empowering every valued staff member to unashamedly express who they want to be. The destination Marquee was branded as the ‘Yassificatiion Station’, and hosted the Carnival’s crowd to complimentary hair styling and makeup applications by our skilled L’Oréal artistry teams. A big shout out to NYX Professional Makeup, La Roche-Posay, Viktor & Rolf, and Kérastase for their stellar contribution, including generous product samples to the Marquee initiative. 

L’Oréal Groupe joined over 53,000 people at the Pride March along Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, celebrating pride through a kaleidoscope of colours, fans and chants! Amongst them, 80 L'Oréal employees and advocates marched proudly to demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Cosmetics and the queer community have a long-standing relationship - one that commenced long before L’Oréal was established 100+ years ago, with cosmetics being used as both a tool of self-expression, and for some, an armour.
